In the "Biblical Sense"

Okay, so Grey's Anatomy this week, was well...kinda boring/interesting/what the hell. I am not going to reiterate the whole thing, because really, I do not want to bore some people, but what the hell!

Maybe I just have not been watching this show long enough, but has George always had a thing for Meredith? Did I miss this? I was so confused, in my head, it sort of came out of left field...maybe there is more to it than I think, someone help me out. But I was asked for my reaction to their getting to know each other in the Biblical sense, and well...at first I was like "what the hell?" I thought that Meredith was like "so in love" with McDreamy and then suddenly she is taking off George's shirt...what? I am not sure I am a fan of the two of them, true it is cute and all...but really...I am holding out for a reunion of the McDreamy and Grey...A little disappointed, but George is cute with her too...so I don't know what to think, maybe time will tell, and hopefully some background info will surface so I can better understand.

The cases this week were good...angry video man made me laugh and did have a good point of not letting things go unsaid, the girl's was well...unfortunate really, but fixable, and it is good to go to church. Lion Boy was just sad, I cried, I did not want him to die.

McSteamy was a good twist, I really wish that Montgomery-Shepherd went back to him, but she seems to want to punish herself by sticking with McDreamy...so we will see how that turns out.

Burke was pissed because he thought that Christina was not committed and then he found out that she kept her old apartment "just in case" and he confronted her as she ate chinese food in bed...and she admitted to giving up her apartment 20 minutes ago...Burke's reaction "we're good here" and walked away...very nice.

Izzy and Alex gave into the beast

And as mentioned before Mere and George, Bibical sense implied.

4 Years Ago Today...

I was at the Baptist Leadership Education Centre (may it rest in peace) and the most wonderful, fabulous man asked me to be with him. Obviously I said "yes" or I would not be writing this post right now. Here is the story of how it came to be...it is rather rocky at the start.

I must admit that there was an attraction from the very moment that Ames introduced us, but I was dating someone else and things were not going well in that area, so Graham became my friend, he was there for me when things got bad with the other guy and always told me that I deserved better. I eventually broke it off with that other guy and Graham and me became better friends. People began to make assumptions about us, but we stuck with "we are just friends" but now, I don't think we were ever "just friends" there was always 'something' between us. Needless to say, we began to be thrown together for a lot of things, baseball games, Encounter, Hermosa, random hanging out with Ames and the guy who is nameless and finally BLEC. At BLEC the assumption got worse, and I got scared, so I pulled back and we fought a lot during that time, several times, we did not talk to each other for days, which was miserable and everyone saw but us.
One evening, while or friendship was alright, I asked him to come with me to Cullen Gardens (may it rest in peace) to see the Christmas Lights, because I love lights. While walking, I noticed that Graham was not acting like himself, but I tried to convince him to tell me whats up, but he refused...so we went back to the school and he was still acting really weird. I sort of forced him to tell me what was going on...which of course was "I like you as more than just a friend" to which I got scared, said "I don't" and ran off, I was a jerk.
That weekend, I was going home for some reason, it was probably to see the doctor, but before I left, Graham stuck a note in my mailbox, which I still have saying "That I was will always have his heart and if I ever want it, it will be gladly given to me fully" I went home. While there, I realized that I was miserable without him and everyone knew it, so I planned to tell him when I got back to the building on Monday afternoon, which so happened to be the day of the Christmas Banquet. However, I never got the chance, I was told something that made me really sad, he was dating someone else because he was hurt by me and I never told him. I tried to be happy for him, but I couldn't quite pull it off and everyone knew.
He ended that relationship because it was not fair to either of them, and that woman is now happily married. But we tried to get our friendship back on track. That is when it happened. We were watching a movie with everyone in the lounge, I am not sure what movie it was because I was not paying attention to the movie, I had stolen the pillow and blanket that Graham had brought into the room and I was laying against him, and I suppose that is when he realized that I had let my guard down. When the movie was over, we went to the kitchen to get juice, he confronted me and I told him that I liked him but there was that question of 'where do we go from here?" and "what about the other girl?" Those questions went unanswered not sure why, but then my dad had a heart attack and I went home, and we didn't see each other for two weeks...I had him come visit me over Reading Week and we spent a lot of time talking and then he kissed me, but even that was cut short because I had to go to Blizzard...
In the end, he asked me to be with him again, on February 19, 2002 in the dinning room of BLEC. And we have been happy ever since, enduring distance and stress. So,

HAPPY 4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY GRAHAM, I LOVE YOU MORE THAN SWEDISH BERRIES!

The day of Love is upon us

Love is a simple word, only one syllable. Yet it is extraordinary. Few emotions can cause such distress or make us feel so delirious with joy. Love is sought after and coveted by even the most wicked and wretched among us. It is the inspiration for the most delightful poetry, the most exquisite art and the greatest music. People live and die for it. They make the most noble sacrifices in love's name, or commit the vilest deeds.

No word is as misused, misunderstood and misinterpreteted as love. It can be used too lightly and also too sparingly. For even when we are certain that it exists in the heart of our beloved, we want to hear it and see it.

Love can't be adequately defined or proven. It is mysterious and elusive. The quest for it is the essence of humanity.

Love is often confused with crushes and obsession or trivialized and used to decieve and manipulate. So, how do we know when it is real? Where is the shield to protect us against the ravages of lost love or the disappointment of unrequitted love?

For insight on matters of the heart, it is usually helpful to turn to my good friend Willy Shakespere, particularily his beautiful sonnets. The Bard said it best when he wrote that love "bears it out even to the edge of doom." The fallout from a love gone sour is terrible. Yet, if love is not worth the risk, why are we willing to go to such great lengths to find it and experience it? In the poem "Desiderada" we are advised against being cynical. "For in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass."

In a world of disillusionment and disaffection, romance is still very much alive.

It should be celebrated and cherished and SHOUTED FROM THE ROOF TOPS!

so here goes:

GRAHAM, I LOVE YOU! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!

It's the End of the World--Grey's Anatomy

Okay, so I missed the very beginning because of the Super Bowl, but when I tuned it, Izzie and George had called Christina to come over because Meredith did not want to get out of bed...Christina tells her that she does not care for her reasons to stay in bed, she needs to get her ass out of bed promto. They get to the hospital and Meredith has a bad feeling and McDreamy tells her to just move on, so all the interns are in their fun yellow robe things wondering who is going to be in charge of them that day, all of a sudden, Baily is behind them and yells at them for scaring off so many residence. She promply goes into labour, convient eh? Anyways, She is rushed off in her wheelchair, when an ambulance pulls in, in the ambulance is a screaming lady and her husband who has been shot in the chest by a bazzoka that his friend and him had made, the lady was really annoying. But they took him right into surgery with Burke, and the ambulance attendant (Hannah) played by Christina Ricci had her hand inside this name to try to stop the bleeding, little did she know that the ammo was still inside the man and it was still live, so Burke called a "Code Black" which none of the interns knew what that was, but it is a bomb threat.

Meanwhile on the other side of the hospital Baily is trying to get ahold of her husband which unfortunately he was in a car accident trying to get there and McDreamy (Shephard) had is brain open in the OR right next to the bomb.

The Bomb squad arrives and is trying to figure out what is happening and trying to evacuate the hospital, but are being met with resistance...first Shepherd is more afraid of Baily than the bomb and will not leave his patient on the table, Izzie decides that because she is going to die in the explosion, she might as well have sex with Alex in the medical supply closet. The drug guy Dr.Milton is afraid and abandons Hannah in the room with the patient and the drug bag thing.

Hannah is beginning to panic when Meredith and Christina arrive in the room because curiosity got the best of them, and they are trying to stop Hannah from yanking out her arm and running off...Christina is calling Burke for help, he arrives with the useless bomb expert just as Hannah pulls her arm out and bolts for the door, you see Christina, Burke and bomb-man drop to the floor and are expecting BOOM when it shows that Meredith was stuck her hand into the body without realizing it, and then it ends, stupid cliff-hangers

Survivor Episode 1 & Ghost Whisper- Hell of a Climb

Survivor Episode 1:

The highly anticipated and mysterious SURVIVOR: PANAMA--EXILE ISLAND has begun, and on night three, Tina Scheer, the 45-year-old logging sports promoter/performer from Hayward, Wisconsin (thats right people, she is a self proclaimed LUMBER JILL) becomes the first casualty when she is voted out of her tribe in a unanimous 3-1 decision. Perceived as the most outspoken in her tribe, Tina meets her demise at Tribal Council when she questions others' work ethic. After seeing her torch extinguished, Tina delivers her Final Words: "I think the girls made a huge mistake voting me out. I hope they do terribly. I have no regrets. I was just with the wrong girls." Really, this team did make a mistake...they have a 3 older gals who can do nothing, and one of them is afraid of LEAVES!!!

Separated by gender and age, the Older Women, Older Men, Younger Women and Younger Men meet host Jeff Probst on Exile Island. There, he explains that each week, at least one Survivor will be banished to the Island, forced to live on their own away from their tribe until they're allowed back into the game.

Next, Jeff explains the rules of the first Reward Challenge. The four tribes each delegate one player to participate, as they must run across the island to a pile of skulls (creepy). Next, the players must smash open the skulls on rocks until they find an amulet. The first three players to return to the starting line and present the amulet win flint for fire. The losing tribe will elect one tribe member to stay on Exile Island. The race for the amulets begins as Terry, Austin, Ruth- Marie and Danielle race to smash the skulls. Terry returns first, followed by Austin and Ruth Marie. Danielle returns empty-handed, leaving the Younger Women without flint for fire and with a dreaded decision to make. Who will be left behind on Exile Island? Misty is selected, but before the tribes leave for their beaches, reveals a secret of the Island, announcing, "Hidden somewhere on Exile Island is an Immunity Idol. Find it, and you will be safe from Tribal Council!"

Upon arriving at their camp, the Older Women quickly get to work. Emerging as the tribe's leader, Tina starts the fire and begins work on the shelter. In the meantime, having never camped before, Cirie reveals an embarrassing concern: she is afraid of leaves. "I was thinking, 'Leaves are the least of your problem, honey!'" remarks an astonished Tina.

With little sunlight remaining in the day, the Younger Men play coconut baseball before realizing the need to build shelter and start a fire before sunset. Aras then brings the group together in a meditation circle, hoping to bring in some positive energy (he is a yoga instructor). "Aras has a lot of ideas, but some of them are kind of hair-brained, like doing meditation to get fire," explains Nick. Despite Aras's faith, the Young Men flounder as they haplessly set up their camp. "We don't have a clue what we are doing," remarks Austin. I love the confidence that these guys give out

At the Young Women's camp, the tribemates struggle with indecision about where to set up camp. Unable to decide and becoming increasingly annoyed, Sally complains, "I was starting to get more frustrated on the whole shelter. If you see and you like it, don't even look anymore." With little daylight remaining, Courtney (shes a fire dancer) finds a dead turtle lying on the beach. Feeling for the dead turtle, Courtney turns the decision into an ordeal, and all Danielle and Sally can do is roll their eyes.

After the efficient Older Men start fire and set up camp, Dan and Terry find time to bond. Dan reveals that he was an astronaut, while Terry tells Dan he was a Navy pilot. The two men shake hands and agree never to lie to each other in the game. Later, frustrations grow when Shane reveals that he is a three-pack-a-day smoker. Not having a cigarette and realizing he needs to be on his best behavior, Shane laments, "I have to get through this detox, and I can't lash out at anybody. I just can't. It is unbelievably hard, and I have only been here a day." (this is why smoking is bad for you...plus, if you know you are going on a show where you cannot smoke...wouldn't you be trying to quit before hand? Think on that one for a bit)

Alone on Exile Island, Misty toughs out the night's storm, huddling on the ground for warmth. The next day's sun brings hunger, and she digs for worms and eats them. "I am tired, hungry and really, really thirsty," she complains. Worried that she is at a disadvantage because she lives away from her tribemates, Misty hatches a plan: "When I see my tribemates at the next Immunity Challenge, I will trick them into thinking that I found the Immunity Idol" (because trickery has always worked in the past)

The four tribes meet at the Immunity Challenge area, where Jeff explains the rules. Beginning on platforms in the ocean, the tribes must race over a wall, one at a time, dive into the ocean and swim to their tribe raft. The last person over the wall dives down to unclip a rope, releasing the raft. The tribe then paddles the raft towards shore. Once the tribe latches their raft to the hitching post on shore, they race to solve a brainteaser puzzle, which releases a giant ring. The tribe has the option to dig down several feet and search to uncover an answer key to solve the puzzle. Once the ring is released, the tribe attaches it to a rope that they use to throw at a grappling hook to unfurl their tribe flag. The first three tribes to raise their flags win Immunity. The race for Immunity begins as the Survivors plunge into the water. The Younger Women take an early lead and arrive first at the beach. The Younger Women finish first, then the Older Men. The race comes down to the Younger Men against the Older Women as both tribes struggle with the puzzle. In the end, the Younger Men successfully decipher the brainteaser, sending the Older Women to the first Tribal Council. Because the older women are all about the unity, instead for following what the other teams did, in having two dig for the solution and two work on the puzzle, 3 of them dug, while the 4th stood and stared.

Back at camp, the Older Women have the unenviable task of deciding who is to be voted off. Isolating herself from the group, Tina wanders off in tears as the loss brings back memories of her son. "I lost my son in a car accident 4 months ago, and I miss him," she tearfully reveals.

As Cirie and Ruth-Marie trek to the water hole, feeling vulnerable, Cirie hatches a plan to save herself: "I don't want to say I am gunning for anyone, but I am going to try to get rid of the lumberjack lady." Cirie's plan gets complicated when Tina returns to camp with a huge fish. "There are a hundred reasons to keep Tina. She is a workhorse; she caught a fish today. I do think Cirie is the weak link right now," divulges Melinda. However, in the end, compatibility overpowers capability as Cirie gets her wish at Tribal Council, where the tribe votes Tina out in a 3-1 decision.

It should be an interesting few weeks with this one.

Ghost Whisperer-Hell of a Climb:

Premise of the Show (for those who have not seen it before):
Melinda Gordon is a young newlywed with the unique ability to communicate with the earthbound spirits of people who have died -- and who seek her help. Melinda uses her gift to relay significant messages and important information to the living, but sometimes the messages she receives are intense and confusing. As a result, she is often met with questions and skepticism by the survivors. But when Melinda is able to help both the lost souls who contact her and those who are still alive, she knows that her unique talent is an asset and not a liability.

The episode last night started with Andrea (Melinda's best friend) was asleep in her apartment when suddenly, her globe fell off the desk and rolled towards her bed, needless to say, the crash woke her up. Once awake, her tv came on, really really loud and on a rock climbing show...she could not get it turned off, so she unplugged it and it turned off. The window crashes open and it is suddenly very windy. Andrea decided to call her best friend because this is clearly very freaky deaky. While on the phone with Melinda, the tv turns back on, even though it is unplugged, Andrea screams and Melinda jumps in the car to go over with her uber hot hubby Jim. Melinda reveals that someone had been there, but was gone.

The next morning, the girls are at work, they own an antique store in town. The ghost comes to visit Andrea while she is dealing with a customer, and tries to strangle her, Melinda yells at the ghost to go away and the ghost responds with "Andrea, I need help" so clearly the ghost knows her. It is decided that Andrea will come to stay with Jim and Melinda until they can sort this out.

That night, the ghost knocks the window out of the kitchen and Jim comes running with Melinda right behind him, she sees the ghost falling down the stairs and it says "I'm not dead" Which is weird, they talk about it and decide that the ghost is someone from Andrea's past, they start going through all her old pictures and they find him! His name is Dennis and they used to work together at the law offices in California. He had quit after only 4 months because he wanted to travel the world...but his brother lived near by, Andrea took off to go find the brother, and Melinda put Jim to work with all his connections to the hospitals (he is a paramedic)

Andrea heads to the gas station that Dennis' brother Charlie worked at, only to be told by the girlfriend that Dennis had picked Charlie up a week ago and that was the last she had heard...they had a fight and it was not unusual to go weeks without hearing from Charlie. When Andrea left, there was the message " St.John's CCU2W39L6" on the hood of her car, when she comes closer, it is gone...but luckily she wrote it down. She drives back to the store to show Melinda and they decide that it is a hospital code, they rush over and find Dennis in a hospital bed, he had fallen off a cliff while mountain climbing with his brother and dad. Dennis flatlines, the doctors come running and suddenly ghost Dennis is talking to Melinda saying "don't bring me back, you will never find my brother and dad if I am alive" Andrea tells dennis that she loves him and he dies. After doing all this freaky stuff like shocking the doctors and throwing the paddles across the room.

Ghost Dennis leads Melinda, Jim, Andrea and the search team up the mountain to find his brother, when they do, he is alive and holding an urn. It is their dad, he died and wanted his ashes sprinkled on the mountain...the boys had fallen while doing it. They get Charlie help, and he is reunited with the girlfriend and finally sprinkle the ashes as the father and Dennis watch. Dennis tells Melinda (who is also there) that he wants Andrea to know that he has always loved her too...then they cross over

Updated my life

~For once in my life, I am completely healthy right now

~My small cat went nutso with my arm last night, it looks like a road map

~Congrats goes out to my friend Jason Parke "Parker" on his recent engagement to Jenn, I know the two of them will be beyond happy and they are "perfect" for each other, at the riskof sounding cheesy

~I have lost the little ball to my hoop earring in the top of my ear...it is gone forever!

~I went to the mall the other day and ordered something and the girl spelt February wrong, it was frustrating.

~I went to hang out with my good friend Lynn yesterday because her children and husband were going out, it was fun to just sit around and chat without the children

~Some children's parents are horrible, this kid is three years old and he was telling everyone to "F*** off" I was shocked. And he would just laugh about it, and when we called his father, it was "so...good for him" GRRRR

~I have not been sleeping well lately, not sure what is happening there, and as much fun as seeing every hour pass through the night, it really isn't

~I am taking a week off in March because my parents are flying to Florida, and my sister is coming to stay with me.

~Graham comes home in about 89 days and counting.

~That is equal to about 12 weeks

~The church would not let me join the music committee as a member of the congregation because I am in the choir...I think that is discrimination.

~This is the end of my post
