Three Wooden Crosses...
A farmer and a teacher
A hooker and a preacher
Riding on a midnight bus
Bound for Mexico
One was headed for vacation
One for higher education
And two of them were searchin' for lost souls
That driver never ever saw the stop sign
And 18 wheelers can't stop on a dime
There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there's not four of them heaven only knows
I guess it's not what you take
When you leave this world behind you
It's what you leave behind you when you go
That farmer left a harvest
A home and 80 acres
The faith and love for growing things
In his young son's heart
And that teacher left her wisdom
In the minds of lots of children
Did her best to give 'em all
A better start
And that preacher whispered
"Can't you see the promised land?"
As he lay his blood stained Bible
In that hooker's hand
There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there's not four of them heaven only knows
I guess it's not what you take
When you leave this world behind you
It's what you leave behind you when you go
That's the story that our preacher told last Sunday
As he held that blood stained Bible up
For all of us to see
He said, "Bless the farmer
And the teacher
And the preacher
Who gave this Bible to my momma
Who read it to me"
There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there's not four of them now I guess we know
It's not what you take

Another update
~I had pink eye this week...working with children, you get all sorts of sicknesses...but the doctor put me on some eye drops which contained Sulpha...which I am allergic to, so now my eye is a yucky yucky mess...and I am not impressed
~11 weeks and 5 days until the wedding...and still have so much to do
~Italy won the world cup much to my dismay...I will never hear the end of it.
~There is a concert on the 21st in Cambridge that I really want to go see
~I finally got around to cleaning my room
~I now know why I am not penicostal...yikes
~my friend Lynn was in a car accident on Canada Day, it was really bad but God pulled her through, thanks for all the prayer...now I must ask that you pray for the children (11 and 6) they were in the car as well, and are really shaken up and hurt.
~For those who don't know what happened, they were hit while going through a green light by someone running the red and the car was struck just behind the passenger back down and it sent them spinning into a metal light pole. Not good, so please pray.
~The 11 year old was supposed to go up to camp today, but that is not going to happen.
~That is all I got for now, I am tired and need a sleep. Will check back again soon.
Love and Sunshine,
Jenelle

Update...
~I am not dead, just very busy...in fact insanely busy would be a better statement
~I am getting married on October 7, 2006...that is roughly 13 weeks away
~Planning the wedding is starting to suck.
~Stupid reception halls...but I am not bitter
~World Cup is still going on, some teams have won, some have lost...don't ask who
~A parent at work told me that I looked natural with a baby in my arms...I don't know how to take that...
~I would really like to quit my job now...I am starting to hate it there with a burning passion
~I feel like I am in jail
~The tree in front of the daycare almost caught fire today when lightning hit it...kinda scary...the windows shook...
~I got my wedding dress a few weeks ago...if you wanna see a picture, let me know, I can email it to you
~Who agrees that the wedding should be what GRAHAM and ME want?
~The mono is all gone...but my spleen still hates me
I am done now, I need a nap

Paper Bag Princess--Hello Kelly
He not to raise Elizabeth, Drawbridgeliebling.
I awaited a long-term somebody like you.
For somebody to want you.
You are dissimulated behind your insecurity.
The bag of paper around your size and mud after your face the place on you.
But I love you still.
The cause which I am in my tin preparation sheet,
my memory of dollar blade extended by your side is.
And Ronald of it your heart fallows, like him called you terribly?
And then I to hold you arm?
He I satisfy Elizabeth a rural boy of school.
But I waited until your hand or something of the m7oney thing holds in the long run.
I am not a soldier and myself am a king,
but I can play Mittelguitarre and you can with me of almost all speak without me to ensure.
The cause which I am in my tin preparation sheet,
my memory of dollar blade extended by your side is.
And Ronald of it your heart fallows, like him called you terribly?
And then I to hold you arm?
It does not think of the He Elizabeth which I am okayursache
that I problems precisely have that you, but I am finely.
You are a cause my.
When we place in top our faith in a God it protects us to them two,
it holds and strong us, as long as we have loves.
And we have loves.
Hey Elizabeth think I the Cause I' ve OK that don' t problem like just got you, I drank fine. Cause you acres mines. Guess What!!!
To everyone who reads this;
On Friday night, Graham and I went out for dinner, we went to The Drake and Firken Pub, after dinner we rented a movie (Tristian and Isolde) but before we could watch it, Graham said that he wanted to walk off the food we ate, I agreed. We went for a walk around the courtyard at the city hall before heading over to Gage Park, we wandered aimlessly for a few minutes before heading to one of our favourite photo spots, the Big Bell thing. When I got there, Graham admitted to me that he did just want to come for a walk, I was busy reading a plaque on the wall, so I asked what he meant, I turned around and he was down on one knee...HE ASKED ME TO MARRY HIM!!!! After a first reaction of "What? Are you serious???" I did in fact said yes. So, we are now getting married on a date that has not yet been pick, but hopefully in the fall.
YAY!!!!

Update to the Update
~It is official, I have Mono! BOOO! Not even entirely sure how I got it...Graham does not have it...I have not kissed anyone else recently...but the good news is that once I have had it...I become immune to it...no more Mono for me...but I am off for at least another week. Boo
~I need a new form of entertainment...due to the possibility that my enlarged spleen could rupture, I have done little more than lie on the couch and watch tv. sure sure, some of you are thinking "you are so lucky" I am not, trust me.
~Any ideas of what I can do? Anything at all?
~I am an usher at Graham's mom's wedding this weekend...that will be fun, and not too tasking on my spleen I hope.
~I was rude to a JW today...I slammed the door in their face...oops...actually, they asked me if I had heard the "good news" and I said "yes I have" and closed the door...was that rude?
~I am very sleepy
~My voice is almost all gone now...boo...I liked my voice...
~I am going back to lie down now.

Update
~I am not dead...well...not quite...I might have Mono...but that is another story
~Due to this supposed illness...I have been off of work for an extra week...which has me a little on edge...
~We are going to the cottage for the long weekend, this should help me relax a little so that I might be able to go back to work next week...fingers crossed.
~Graham is home YAY!!!
~Me and Ames took the train out to Moncton a few weeks ago for Graham's grad, which took us 25 hours! Which was the longest trip of my life, but we made it and we had a lot of fun.
~When I get my scanner working again, I will put up a few of the highlights in pictures.
~Graham has graduated from Atlantic Baptist University with his BA in History...and he got it with distinction
~I witnessed the death of this lap top...Lappy met his maker in a blaze of glory
~I got on an airplane
~I need to go to bed...the problem with mono is that is makes you sleepy...and makes your spleen a potential explosive situation...no tackle british bull dog for me.

Watch The Lamb...
Walking on the road to Jerusalem,
The time had come to sacrifice again,
My two small sons,
They walk beside me on the road,
The reason that they came
was to watch the lamb.
Daddy, daddy,
What will see there,
There's so much that we don't understand,
So I told them of Moses
and father Abraham,
Then I said dear children watch the lamb,
There will be so many in Jerusalem today,
We must be sure the lamb doesn't run away,
And I told them of Moses
and father Abraham,
Then I said dear children watch the lamb.
When we reached the city,
I knew something must be wrong,
There were no joyful worshipers,
No joyful worship songs,
I stood there with my children
in the midst of angry men,
Then I heard the crowd cry out
Crucify Him.
We tried to leave the city
but we could not get away,
Forced to play in this drama
a part I did not wish to play,
Why upon this day
were men condemned to die,
Why were we standing here,
Where soon they would pass by.
I looked and said, even now they come,
The first one cried for mercy,
The people gave him none,
The second one was violent,
He was arrogant and loud,
I still here his angry voice
screaming at the crowd,
Then someone said there's Jesus,
I scarce believed my eyes,
A man so badly beaten,
He barely looked alive,
Blood poured from His body,
From the forms upon His brow,
Running down the cross,
Falling to the ground.
I watched Him as He struggled,
I watched Him as He fell,
The cross came down upon His back,
The crowd began to yell,
In that moment I felt such agony,
In that moment I felt such loss,
Till a Roman soldier grabbed my arm
and screamed,
you, carry His cross.
At first I tried to resist him,
Then his hand reached for his cross,
So I knelt and took
the cross from the Lord,
I placed it on my shoulder,
And started down the street,
The blood that he'd been shedding
was running down my cheek.
They led us to Golgotha,
They drove nails
deep in His feet and hands,
Yet upon the cross I heard Him pray
Father, forgive them.
Oh, never have I seen such love
in any other eyes,
Into thy hands I commit my spirit
He prayed and the He died,
I stood for what seemed like years,
I'd lost all sense of time
until I felt to tiny hands
holding tight to mine,
The children stood there weeping,
I heard the oldest say,
Father please forgive us,
the lamb ran away.
Daddy, daddy,
What have we seen here,
There's so much
that we don't understand,
So I took them in my arms,
And we turned and faced the cross,
Then I said dear children
watch the lamb.

Update
~I got a wedding invite in the mail today...it threw me off just a little because I did not recognize the return address at all...but then I realized that it was Heidi, as in Colin and Heidi. So I was very excited about that.
~I went to Amy's this weekend, it was a lot of fun, we made t-shirts and baked pies and watched movies...it was great fun, just like the good old days, including a violent attack during the night.
~I went to work on Monday and Tuesday, but Wednesday morning I got terribly sick, so I have been sleeping it off the last two days...hopefully I will be better tomorrow because I need to sing at church and then on Saturday my Alicia is coming to hang out with me.
~Just over 2 weeks until I see my baby
~I am currently listening to old school No Doubt...as in Tradgic Kingdom...sad sad sad.
~I feel the need to have a shower right now, so I think I will go do that...yes, good plan.
~Happy Easter to all, may Christ shine upon you now and always

That line just kills me
So, I have been thinking of things to make me laugh lately because I am a little down, not sure why...it might be because the weather is changing, or maybe because there is still 3 weeks roughly until Moncton...but then I thought, the sure fire way to make me laugh is to hear some random funny lines on tv, in person or the like...here are some recent ones (like in the last day or so)
We will be flirting with 70 tomorrow folks
Thats why I like it
You don't know what you are talking about
I missed her birthday for nothing?
I could really have a fungal eye disease, sweet deal!
Who gets married?
If you get married, I will lose my freak
Hey, it doesn't fit the front...thats okay, I will go around the side
So what if I don't fit in, I am going to be something
I really don't know who those people are
How long do I have to wait
Has anyone heard from Beth or is she dead?
You are so random
How often will they be in the same bed?
That is all for now, I realize that most of my readers are like "What the hell is she taking about? Those are not funny at all." Well...the context is missing, but let me tell you, I am laughing my butt off right now...which is a nice change of pace for me.

Oh Goodie...
Prince Harry, the third in line to the British throne, celebrated the end of his military training with a visit to a lap dancing club, British newspapers reported Saturday
Feeling....blah
I'm a little anti-encouragement lately.
I'm a little "you don't know me" lately.
I know - it's stand-offish.
But that doesn't bother me yet
Not sure what to tell you, this is just who I am right now

Ranting and Raving
Okay, so today is my day to just complain about everything...yes, I know it is a self appointed day, but I have been sick, so humour me.
1. Why the heck is it snowing outside right now? Does that seem fair to anyone? I mean, I for one like snow IN FEBRUARY!!!! Not so much in April, when I am looking towards to the beach/camp season...which reminds me...anyone up for going to Kick Off this year?
2. Why is it that when you call a repair man they always tell you that they will be at your house sometime between 10am and 6pm...apparently my heater is broken, so I can't have a life...stop everything, the fix it man doesn't know when he can make it...then when he shows up, he stares at you...which is a bit unnerving, and then tells you that there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. I suppose that is why it KEEPS RESETTING ITSELF TO 10 DEGREES...because it is fine...what I am thinking...I know nothing about fixing a furnace.
3. When someone asks you if they can replace the decorations on your door at work and you say yes, that would be fine...is that really code for change the whole classroom around without telling the teacher while she is at home puking her guts out? Apparently
4. Why are people at church so lukewarm now a days...I mean, if I sign up for a committee...I show up 99 % of the time...why won't other people take that same consideration? People are counting on us to put on a good preformation at the concert, but my band is a no show
5. Why can I not for the life of me remember important memories from the past few years? Honestly...gingerbread cookies at Timmy's illudes my memory to this day.
6. Why are some girls cheating lowdown skanks? And why doe they think they can get away with hurting super great guys but then still expect that his family members will except her with open arms?
7. People should have to take a test before they are allowed to reproduce...if you don't really, I mean REALLY want a child, then for goodness sakes, don't have one...you CANNOT legally send them back afterwards...and really...it is not fair to the father if you dump them on him either.
8. Why do American Idols always murder my favourite songs? Do they have no pride?
9. I have decided that I do not like who I become when I am writing these rants...I can be mean and vicious...it is not a pretty side of me what so ever...but hey, I am hot like bacon right?
10. Speaking of bacon, I got to thinking about that...does that mean that I am a) hot like "oh baby, you are looking fine this evening" or b) you are a fat greasy looking pig product but I bet you taste yummy?
11. I am still undecided on this new government we have going on right now...am I supposed to take Mr.Harper seriously or do I laugh in his face when he opens his mouth? Do I really trust a "man" who is currently trying to snuggle into bed with W? Not sure, the jury is out.
12...I am ranted out.

Update and Future Plans
~So, I currently have the flu, which really sucks because I was supposed to hang out with Ames this weekend and do the whole girly weekend thing...not going to happen...I was hoping that if I felt better by tonight, we could...but my energy is shot.
~My world is getting smaller by the minute...on my hi5 site, I was put in touch with a whole bunch of people from my childhood...which floods me full of old tortured memories, but I am working through them...that is a must.
~Last night, some kid at the concert (which I popped over for a second because my dad was not answering his cell), this kid is like 4...by 4 I really mean 14 years old...he told me that I was "so hot, hot like bacon" I couldn't help but laugh at this
~I am now totally addicted to the game SIMS...I cannot get enough of it.
~They just split my classroom at work...the 3.8-5 year olds have moved over to the other room now, which means that my babies are gone...(all the children that have been with me since the beginning of my employment there) but I am still left with 20 children...how does that work out? Alicia...you know what that means...third staff required
~Don't forget to change your clock tonight, spring forward an hour and risk being early for everything...or is it late? I never know. I think it is early
~In 29 days, Amy and me are getting on a train and headed to Moncton to see Graham (YAY) and to become tourist (even though we won't have a car)
~Graham is going to be graduating on May 6th from ABU, He has really worked his butt of these past few years, and I could not be more proud or love him more. Congrats Graham! I love you
~After Moncton, I am going to spend a week with him in Cambridge.
~Then back to work for the summer
~Lots of wedding are fast approaching: Mel and Gerry, Colin and Heidi, Elise and Scott, Judy and Steve, Marlene and Paul, Rita and Steven, Ted and Megan, and others
~That is all I got

Answer to Prayer
Some of you may have heard about my cousin Ryan who lives in California...for those who don't know, he is 10 years old and has had leukemia since he was 4. Anyways, things were looking really bad and it was done to a bone marrow transplant, or he will die. They have been searching for a transplant for over a year now, with no luck, all of the family failed...except for me because I was not allowed to donate...stupid parasite...Finally after an exhauting search, a match was found. (With bone marrow, there is 8 crititeria that needs to be met, a match consists of only 6) This match for Ryan is a perfect 8! Which is totally amazing because this person is not family. God is so awesome! I ask for continued prayer however, because he still needs to undergo the surgery and avoid infection...and will be in the hospital for 5 months. But the fun news is that Jay Leno is putting on a benefit for him.

It's a small world after all
So, today I went to the Bramalea City Centre with my brother to buy some concert tickets...I am not going, he is with his girlfriend. Anyways, that is besides the point, I was in HMV looking at DVDs because hey, thats what I do. But yeah, this guy and girl came up to me and asked if I was Jennelle, and I was like "yeah...I am" and they said "from the Strath?" and I was like "yeah...I lived there" thinking that this is really creepy and what the hell. These people did not look overly familar to me, but hey, if they were from the Strath, I wouldn't recognize them because I left when I was 11...but I was curious...so I asked these two if I knew them...of course they said "yes, we were in grade 6 together, with Mr.Patterson" and I frantically trying to place these two people in my mind...but no luck...finally I asked who they were and I was surprised with the answer,
Mr. and Mrs. Brodie Woodiwiss, aka Brodie and Natalie from Grade 6,
Nat was my best friend for most of my childhood, and Brodie was the head of the group who used to torment me and made my childhood a nightmare.
We spent some time catching up before my brother said we needed to go...it was weird

Christianity:Boring, Untrue and Irrelevant
Today is is popular to argue that it does not matter what you believe so long as you are sincere. But surely, that is crazy. Nothing matters so much as what we believe. Hitler's sincere beliefs led to the deaths of millions of Jews. Jack the Ripper's sincere belief led him to murder prostitutes. More positively, Nelson Mandela's sincere beliefs drove him to led his people to freedom. What you believe matters; it determines the course of your life. Nowhere is that more true than in the arena of faith. The brilliant academic and Christian writer C.S Lewis put it this way, "Christianity is a statement which, if false, is of no importance, and, if true, of infinate importance. The one thing it cannot be is moderately important." Do yourself a favour: take the time to examine your beliefs
We are young people in the 21st Century! What on earth does Christianity offer us?
It offers us:
1)Direction for a lost world
2)reality in a confusing world
3) life in a dark world
"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life." John 14:6
Conclusion:
Christianity is NOT boring: it is about living life to the full
Christianity is NOT untrue: it is the truth
Christianity is NOT irrelevant: it transforms the whole of our lives

Update to end all Updates
~I got my Sheridan student fired today, and now I feel a little bad about it because I know what it feels like, but at the same time, she brought it upon herself.
~My brother broke my glass doll today when he was carrying his amp down the stairs...it made me a little sad, but at the same time, why was the doll at the bottom of the stairs?
~I have a vacation week coming up soon, I will be spending it at home with my sister, brother and brother in law painting the house...restful
~Add more weddings to my agenda please, I am proud to announce that my future mother-in-law, (no I am not engaged) is getting married to Steve. Congrats you two!!
~Me and Ames will be taking the train out to Moncton the first week of May for Graham's grad. Not sure where we are staying when we get there, but it should still be a good time. Also, the whole "tourist" thing could be a bit of an issue...seeing as none of us will have a car...but anyways...moving on
~My cat went crazy and attacked my brother the other day, it was bad...blood, blood, blood.
~Is it bad when the church camp you have been going to all those years forgets to put a capital on "Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour" in the flyers they sent out?
~I need for winter to be over, my skin is so dry it actually hurts
~One of my favourite shows just killed off one of my favourite actors (Keith, may you rest in peace)
~I need to go to sleep now
~I am done my taxes
~I have no clean clothes for the morning

~I am going to be a character in my friends book!

In the "Biblical Sense"
Okay, so Grey's Anatomy this week, was well...kinda boring/interesting/what the hell. I am not going to reiterate the whole thing, because really, I do not want to bore some people, but what the hell!
Maybe I just have not been watching this show long enough, but has George always had a thing for Meredith? Did I miss this? I was so confused, in my head, it sort of came out of left field...maybe there is more to it than I think, someone help me out. But I was asked for my reaction to their getting to know each other in the Biblical sense, and well...at first I was like "what the hell?" I thought that Meredith was like "so in love" with McDreamy and then suddenly she is taking off George's shirt...what? I am not sure I am a fan of the two of them, true it is cute and all...but really...I am holding out for a reunion of the McDreamy and Grey...A little disappointed, but George is cute with her too...so I don't know what to think, maybe time will tell, and hopefully some background info will surface so I can better understand.
The cases this week were good...angry video man made me laugh and did have a good point of not letting things go unsaid, the girl's was well...unfortunate really, but fixable, and it is good to go to church. Lion Boy was just sad, I cried, I did not want him to die.
McSteamy was a good twist, I really wish that Montgomery-Shepherd went back to him, but she seems to want to punish herself by sticking with McDreamy...so we will see how that turns out.
Burke was pissed because he thought that Christina was not committed and then he found out that she kept her old apartment "just in case" and he confronted her as she ate chinese food in bed...and she admitted to giving up her apartment 20 minutes ago...Burke's reaction "we're good here" and walked away...very nice.
Izzy and Alex gave into the beast
And as mentioned before Mere and George, Bibical sense implied.

4 Years Ago Today...
I was at the Baptist Leadership Education Centre (may it rest in peace) and the most wonderful, fabulous man asked me to be with him. Obviously I said "yes" or I would not be writing this post right now. Here is the story of how it came to be...it is rather rocky at the start.
I must admit that there was an attraction from the very moment that Ames introduced us, but I was dating someone else and things were not going well in that area, so Graham became my friend, he was there for me when things got bad with the other guy and always told me that I deserved better. I eventually broke it off with that other guy and Graham and me became better friends. People began to make assumptions about us, but we stuck with "we are just friends" but now, I don't think we were ever "just friends" there was always 'something' between us. Needless to say, we began to be thrown together for a lot of things, baseball games, Encounter, Hermosa, random hanging out with Ames and the guy who is nameless and finally BLEC. At BLEC the assumption got worse, and I got scared, so I pulled back and we fought a lot during that time, several times, we did not talk to each other for days, which was miserable and everyone saw but us.
One evening, while or friendship was alright, I asked him to come with me to Cullen Gardens (may it rest in peace) to see the Christmas Lights, because I love lights. While walking, I noticed that Graham was not acting like himself, but I tried to convince him to tell me whats up, but he refused...so we went back to the school and he was still acting really weird. I sort of forced him to tell me what was going on...which of course was "I like you as more than just a friend" to which I got scared, said "I don't" and ran off, I was a jerk.
That weekend, I was going home for some reason, it was probably to see the doctor, but before I left, Graham stuck a note in my mailbox, which I still have saying "That I was will always have his heart and if I ever want it, it will be gladly given to me fully" I went home. While there, I realized that I was miserable without him and everyone knew it, so I planned to tell him when I got back to the building on Monday afternoon, which so happened to be the day of the Christmas Banquet. However, I never got the chance, I was told something that made me really sad, he was dating someone else because he was hurt by me and I never told him. I tried to be happy for him, but I couldn't quite pull it off and everyone knew.
He ended that relationship because it was not fair to either of them, and that woman is now happily married. But we tried to get our friendship back on track. That is when it happened. We were watching a movie with everyone in the lounge, I am not sure what movie it was because I was not paying attention to the movie, I had stolen the pillow and blanket that Graham had brought into the room and I was laying against him, and I suppose that is when he realized that I had let my guard down. When the movie was over, we went to the kitchen to get juice, he confronted me and I told him that I liked him but there was that question of 'where do we go from here?" and "what about the other girl?" Those questions went unanswered not sure why, but then my dad had a heart attack and I went home, and we didn't see each other for two weeks...I had him come visit me over Reading Week and we spent a lot of time talking and then he kissed me, but even that was cut short because I had to go to Blizzard...
In the end, he asked me to be with him again, on February 19, 2002 in the dinning room of BLEC. And we have been happy ever since, enduring distance and stress. So,
HAPPY 4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY GRAHAM, I LOVE YOU MORE THAN SWEDISH BERRIES!

The day of Love is upon us
Love is a simple word, only one syllable. Yet it is extraordinary. Few emotions can cause such distress or make us feel so delirious with joy. Love is sought after and coveted by even the most wicked and wretched among us. It is the inspiration for the most delightful poetry, the most exquisite art and the greatest music. People live and die for it. They make the most noble sacrifices in love's name, or commit the vilest deeds.
No word is as misused, misunderstood and misinterpreteted as love. It can be used too lightly and also too sparingly. For even when we are certain that it exists in the heart of our beloved, we want to hear it and see it.
Love can't be adequately defined or proven. It is mysterious and elusive. The quest for it is the essence of humanity.
Love is often confused with crushes and obsession or trivialized and used to decieve and manipulate. So, how do we know when it is real? Where is the shield to protect us against the ravages of lost love or the disappointment of unrequitted love?
For insight on matters of the heart, it is usually helpful to turn to my good friend Willy Shakespere, particularily his beautiful sonnets. The Bard said it best when he wrote that love "bears it out even to the edge of doom." The fallout from a love gone sour is terrible. Yet, if love is not worth the risk, why are we willing to go to such great lengths to find it and experience it? In the poem "Desiderada" we are advised against being cynical. "For in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass."
In a world of disillusionment and disaffection, romance is still very much alive.
It should be celebrated and cherished and SHOUTED FROM THE ROOF TOPS!
so here goes:

It's the End of the World--Grey's Anatomy
Okay, so I missed the very beginning because of the Super Bowl, but when I tuned it, Izzie and George had called Christina to come over because Meredith did not want to get out of bed...Christina tells her that she does not care for her reasons to stay in bed, she needs to get her ass out of bed promto. They get to the hospital and Meredith has a bad feeling and McDreamy tells her to just move on, so all the interns are in their fun yellow robe things wondering who is going to be in charge of them that day, all of a sudden, Baily is behind them and yells at them for scaring off so many residence. She promply goes into labour, convient eh? Anyways, She is rushed off in her wheelchair, when an ambulance pulls in, in the ambulance is a screaming lady and her husband who has been shot in the chest by a bazzoka that his friend and him had made, the lady was really annoying. But they took him right into surgery with Burke, and the ambulance attendant (Hannah) played by Christina Ricci had her hand inside this name to try to stop the bleeding, little did she know that the ammo was still inside the man and it was still live, so Burke called a "Code Black" which none of the interns knew what that was, but it is a bomb threat.
Meanwhile on the other side of the hospital Baily is trying to get ahold of her husband which unfortunately he was in a car accident trying to get there and McDreamy (Shephard) had is brain open in the OR right next to the bomb.
The Bomb squad arrives and is trying to figure out what is happening and trying to evacuate the hospital, but are being met with resistance...first Shepherd is more afraid of Baily than the bomb and will not leave his patient on the table, Izzie decides that because she is going to die in the explosion, she might as well have sex with Alex in the medical supply closet. The drug guy Dr.Milton is afraid and abandons Hannah in the room with the patient and the drug bag thing.
Hannah is beginning to panic when Meredith and Christina arrive in the room because curiosity got the best of them, and they are trying to stop Hannah from yanking out her arm and running off...Christina is calling Burke for help, he arrives with the useless bomb expert just as Hannah pulls her arm out and bolts for the door, you see Christina, Burke and bomb-man drop to the floor and are expecting BOOM when it shows that Meredith was stuck her hand into the body without realizing it, and then it ends, stupid cliff-hangers

Survivor Episode 1 & Ghost Whisper- Hell of a Climb
Survivor Episode 1:
The highly anticipated and mysterious SURVIVOR: PANAMA--EXILE ISLAND has begun, and on night three, Tina Scheer, the 45-year-old logging sports promoter/performer from Hayward, Wisconsin (thats right people, she is a self proclaimed LUMBER JILL) becomes the first casualty when she is voted out of her tribe in a unanimous 3-1 decision. Perceived as the most outspoken in her tribe, Tina meets her demise at Tribal Council when she questions others' work ethic. After seeing her torch extinguished, Tina delivers her Final Words: "I think the girls made a huge mistake voting me out. I hope they do terribly. I have no regrets. I was just with the wrong girls." Really, this team did make a mistake...they have a 3 older gals who can do nothing, and one of them is afraid of LEAVES!!!
Separated by gender and age, the Older Women, Older Men, Younger Women and Younger Men meet host Jeff Probst on Exile Island. There, he explains that each week, at least one Survivor will be banished to the Island, forced to live on their own away from their tribe until they're allowed back into the game.
Next, Jeff explains the rules of the first Reward Challenge. The four tribes each delegate one player to participate, as they must run across the island to a pile of skulls (creepy). Next, the players must smash open the skulls on rocks until they find an amulet. The first three players to return to the starting line and present the amulet win flint for fire. The losing tribe will elect one tribe member to stay on Exile Island. The race for the amulets begins as Terry, Austin, Ruth- Marie and Danielle race to smash the skulls. Terry returns first, followed by Austin and Ruth Marie. Danielle returns empty-handed, leaving the Younger Women without flint for fire and with a dreaded decision to make. Who will be left behind on Exile Island? Misty is selected, but before the tribes leave for their beaches, reveals a secret of the Island, announcing, "Hidden somewhere on Exile Island is an Immunity Idol. Find it, and you will be safe from Tribal Council!"
Upon arriving at their camp, the Older Women quickly get to work. Emerging as the tribe's leader, Tina starts the fire and begins work on the shelter. In the meantime, having never camped before, Cirie reveals an embarrassing concern: she is afraid of leaves. "I was thinking, 'Leaves are the least of your problem, honey!'" remarks an astonished Tina.
With little sunlight remaining in the day, the Younger Men play coconut baseball before realizing the need to build shelter and start a fire before sunset. Aras then brings the group together in a meditation circle, hoping to bring in some positive energy (he is a yoga instructor). "Aras has a lot of ideas, but some of them are kind of hair-brained, like doing meditation to get fire," explains Nick. Despite Aras's faith, the Young Men flounder as they haplessly set up their camp. "We don't have a clue what we are doing," remarks Austin. I love the confidence that these guys give out
At the Young Women's camp, the tribemates struggle with indecision about where to set up camp. Unable to decide and becoming increasingly annoyed, Sally complains, "I was starting to get more frustrated on the whole shelter. If you see and you like it, don't even look anymore." With little daylight remaining, Courtney (shes a fire dancer) finds a dead turtle lying on the beach. Feeling for the dead turtle, Courtney turns the decision into an ordeal, and all Danielle and Sally can do is roll their eyes.
After the efficient Older Men start fire and set up camp, Dan and Terry find time to bond. Dan reveals that he was an astronaut, while Terry tells Dan he was a Navy pilot. The two men shake hands and agree never to lie to each other in the game. Later, frustrations grow when Shane reveals that he is a three-pack-a-day smoker. Not having a cigarette and realizing he needs to be on his best behavior, Shane laments, "I have to get through this detox, and I can't lash out at anybody. I just can't. It is unbelievably hard, and I have only been here a day." (this is why smoking is bad for you...plus, if you know you are going on a show where you cannot smoke...wouldn't you be trying to quit before hand? Think on that one for a bit)
Alone on Exile Island, Misty toughs out the night's storm, huddling on the ground for warmth. The next day's sun brings hunger, and she digs for worms and eats them. "I am tired, hungry and really, really thirsty," she complains. Worried that she is at a disadvantage because she lives away from her tribemates, Misty hatches a plan: "When I see my tribemates at the next Immunity Challenge, I will trick them into thinking that I found the Immunity Idol" (because trickery has always worked in the past)
The four tribes meet at the Immunity Challenge area, where Jeff explains the rules. Beginning on platforms in the ocean, the tribes must race over a wall, one at a time, dive into the ocean and swim to their tribe raft. The last person over the wall dives down to unclip a rope, releasing the raft. The tribe then paddles the raft towards shore. Once the tribe latches their raft to the hitching post on shore, they race to solve a brainteaser puzzle, which releases a giant ring. The tribe has the option to dig down several feet and search to uncover an answer key to solve the puzzle. Once the ring is released, the tribe attaches it to a rope that they use to throw at a grappling hook to unfurl their tribe flag. The first three tribes to raise their flags win Immunity. The race for Immunity begins as the Survivors plunge into the water. The Younger Women take an early lead and arrive first at the beach. The Younger Women finish first, then the Older Men. The race comes down to the Younger Men against the Older Women as both tribes struggle with the puzzle. In the end, the Younger Men successfully decipher the brainteaser, sending the Older Women to the first Tribal Council. Because the older women are all about the unity, instead for following what the other teams did, in having two dig for the solution and two work on the puzzle, 3 of them dug, while the 4th stood and stared.
Back at camp, the Older Women have the unenviable task of deciding who is to be voted off. Isolating herself from the group, Tina wanders off in tears as the loss brings back memories of her son. "I lost my son in a car accident 4 months ago, and I miss him," she tearfully reveals.
As Cirie and Ruth-Marie trek to the water hole, feeling vulnerable, Cirie hatches a plan to save herself: "I don't want to say I am gunning for anyone, but I am going to try to get rid of the lumberjack lady." Cirie's plan gets complicated when Tina returns to camp with a huge fish. "There are a hundred reasons to keep Tina. She is a workhorse; she caught a fish today. I do think Cirie is the weak link right now," divulges Melinda. However, in the end, compatibility overpowers capability as Cirie gets her wish at Tribal Council, where the tribe votes Tina out in a 3-1 decision.
It should be an interesting few weeks with this one.
Ghost Whisperer-Hell of a Climb:
Premise of the Show (for those who have not seen it before):
Melinda Gordon is a young newlywed with the unique ability to communicate with the earthbound spirits of people who have died -- and who seek her help. Melinda uses her gift to relay significant messages and important information to the living, but sometimes the messages she receives are intense and confusing. As a result, she is often met with questions and skepticism by the survivors. But when Melinda is able to help both the lost souls who contact her and those who are still alive, she knows that her unique talent is an asset and not a liability.
The episode last night started with Andrea (Melinda's best friend) was asleep in her apartment when suddenly, her globe fell off the desk and rolled towards her bed, needless to say, the crash woke her up. Once awake, her tv came on, really really loud and on a rock climbing show...she could not get it turned off, so she unplugged it and it turned off. The window crashes open and it is suddenly very windy. Andrea decided to call her best friend because this is clearly very freaky deaky. While on the phone with Melinda, the tv turns back on, even though it is unplugged, Andrea screams and Melinda jumps in the car to go over with her uber hot hubby Jim. Melinda reveals that someone had been there, but was gone.
The next morning, the girls are at work, they own an antique store in town. The ghost comes to visit Andrea while she is dealing with a customer, and tries to strangle her, Melinda yells at the ghost to go away and the ghost responds with "Andrea, I need help" so clearly the ghost knows her. It is decided that Andrea will come to stay with Jim and Melinda until they can sort this out.
That night, the ghost knocks the window out of the kitchen and Jim comes running with Melinda right behind him, she sees the ghost falling down the stairs and it says "I'm not dead" Which is weird, they talk about it and decide that the ghost is someone from Andrea's past, they start going through all her old pictures and they find him! His name is Dennis and they used to work together at the law offices in California. He had quit after only 4 months because he wanted to travel the world...but his brother lived near by, Andrea took off to go find the brother, and Melinda put Jim to work with all his connections to the hospitals (he is a paramedic)
Andrea heads to the gas station that Dennis' brother Charlie worked at, only to be told by the girlfriend that Dennis had picked Charlie up a week ago and that was the last she had heard...they had a fight and it was not unusual to go weeks without hearing from Charlie. When Andrea left, there was the message " St.John's CCU2W39L6" on the hood of her car, when she comes closer, it is gone...but luckily she wrote it down. She drives back to the store to show Melinda and they decide that it is a hospital code, they rush over and find Dennis in a hospital bed, he had fallen off a cliff while mountain climbing with his brother and dad. Dennis flatlines, the doctors come running and suddenly ghost Dennis is talking to Melinda saying "don't bring me back, you will never find my brother and dad if I am alive" Andrea tells dennis that she loves him and he dies. After doing all this freaky stuff like shocking the doctors and throwing the paddles across the room.
Ghost Dennis leads Melinda, Jim, Andrea and the search team up the mountain to find his brother, when they do, he is alive and holding an urn. It is their dad, he died and wanted his ashes sprinkled on the mountain...the boys had fallen while doing it. They get Charlie help, and he is reunited with the girlfriend and finally sprinkle the ashes as the father and Dennis watch. Dennis tells Melinda (who is also there) that he wants Andrea to know that he has always loved her too...then they cross over

Updated my life
~For once in my life, I am completely healthy right now
~My small cat went nutso with my arm last night, it looks like a road map
~Congrats goes out to my friend Jason Parke "Parker" on his recent engagement to Jenn, I know the two of them will be beyond happy and they are "perfect" for each other, at the riskof sounding cheesy
~I have lost the little ball to my hoop earring in the top of my ear...it is gone forever!
~I went to the mall the other day and ordered something and the girl spelt February wrong, it was frustrating.
~I went to hang out with my good friend Lynn yesterday because her children and husband were going out, it was fun to just sit around and chat without the children
~Some children's parents are horrible, this kid is three years old and he was telling everyone to "F*** off" I was shocked. And he would just laugh about it, and when we called his father, it was "so...good for him" GRRRR
~I have not been sleeping well lately, not sure what is happening there, and as much fun as seeing every hour pass through the night, it really isn't
~I am taking a week off in March because my parents are flying to Florida, and my sister is coming to stay with me.
~Graham comes home in about 89 days and counting.
~That is equal to about 12 weeks
~The church would not let me join the music committee as a member of the congregation because I am in the choir...I think that is discrimination.
~This is the end of my post

An Irish Blessing
Always remember to forget the things that made you sad
But never forget to remember the things that made you glad
Always remember to forget the troubles that passed away
But never forget to remember the blessings that come each day
May you always have work for your hands to do
May your pockets hold always a coin or two
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain
May the hand of a friend always be near you
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you
May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
And the rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again, my friend
May God hold you in the palm of His hand
God has not promised skies always blue,
Flower-strewn pathways all our lives through,
God has not promised sun without rain,
Joy without sorrow, peace without pain.
God has not promised we shall not known
Toil and temptation, trouble and woe.
He has not told us we will not bear
Many a burden, many a care,
But God has promised strength for the day,
Rest for the labourer, kight for the way,
Grace for the trials, help from above,
Unfailing sympathy and undying love
But never forget to remember the things that made you glad
Always remember to forget the troubles that passed away
But never forget to remember the blessings that come each day
May you always have work for your hands to do
May your pockets hold always a coin or two
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane

Questions I tend to ask myself frequently
1. How is it that I can go backwards on the ecosystem list?
2. Why do people take leisure walks through the malls on Saturday?
3. How is it possible to hire people who have no grasp on the english language to work in the service industry?
4. Why is it that I am constantly saying good bye to people I care about?
5. Where did the little ball from my earing go?
6. Why did you bite him?
7. Do you want to lick this?
8. What did happen to the tan M&Ms?
9. Why did they leave my favourite song off the Rent soundtrack?
10. Where did all the cowboys go?
11. What is rounder than a ring?
12. What lasts forever?
14. Where is Angola?
15. What happened to 13?
16. What are you waiting for?
17. How many drinks is too many?
18. How many licks does it take to get to the centre of a tootsie pop
19. Why can't I stop spending money?
20. Why can't I come up with more questions?
THE END

Oops
So, I lied...Road is actually only 2 years old, not three as previously reported...I am a horrible mother. I apologize for the misleading post before, and my comments have thus been retracted

Happy Birthday
"The Road Not Taken" turned 3 years old yesterday. Wow, that is a old. I may not blog everyday, and it might have changed formats over the years, but the thing that has not changed is that I still have my few loyal readers who come back every so often to see what I have to say. So "I" (means Road) would not be here with all you help...so thank you

A whole bunch of stuff
I'm not even sure what I want to write about in this post...there is just way too much stuff muddled up and stuck in my brain just begging to get out and I have no idea how to release it all...I also felt that it had been way way too long since I had last written in here...so I figured, what the heck, why not write a post even if it is about nothing...people love you, so they will forgive you if you suck every now and then...right? At least, I hope that is the case right now...my head and heart are hurting a little bit right now...I am sad, very very sad.
Why am I sad? Well, I will tell you. Graham has gone back to Moncton for his last semester. That should make me happy right! Not that he is gone, that will never EVER make me happy, but rather that he is in his last semester which means that he will come home again in May and not leave me again. I wish that were true...there is a very good chance that he will not be returning for good...no matter how much my father says that Mac is a good school...Graham might just choose to go to Acadia (in Nova Scotia) or even Southern Baptist Seminary, which is in Kentucky USA...so, that has me a little down. But the very fact that he is in Moncton makes me sad...I want him back here...I miss him...I know, I am sad and pathetic right now. What else is making me sad these days? The thought of going back to work is unappealing...don't get me wrong, I love my job...it just takes up too much of my time. The election is also making me sad...smear campaigns are not my thing and frankly I think all the parties are lead by complete losers who will only run our country into the ground...oh wait, we are already there. Moral decline also makes me sad...so does under-aged drinking, and prostitots...and the fact that my room is still a war zone...not a fan...but also have very little motivation to clean it up. Oh, and AMES, the CD did not work...that also makes me sad..so does the fact that Alicia went in for surgery and DID NOT TELL ME!
Things that I am happy about right now? Ames and Me and Judy (Graham's mom) are road tripping it out to Moncton in May to see Graham graduate...we are Thelma/Louise/Bonnie-ing it up...which is going to rock. Me and my mom have been getting along so far...but I have only been home for 2 1/5 days...so that might change. My cold is almost gone. I put up a whole bunch of new pictures because I got a lot of picture frames for Christmas. I am off of the deacon's board for real...I am going to a concert on Friday with Ames...true we are watching Chris Taylor's band...and I am not a personal fan of that guy, but I heard that the band was good...so I will check it out. I have a lot of peanut free chocolate to eat right now, that is heavenly, I go back to work on Monday--I know that was on the other list, but I miss my kids. I have a lot of weddings coming up...those are fun...my hair is brown again...I am listening to a good CD right now...it is the one that Graham made me, the non-Christmas one...with our song on it.
That is all I got for right now...I need to go eat some food...how about a song...how about one that fits my theme....
Never Let You Go
Philmore
I had to go, but I want you to know
Someday I'll be back for you
Please don't be scared, 'cause if you need me, I'll be there
I'll hold you near and I will wipe away your tears
I'll wipe away your fears
I'll wrap you in my arms
I'll keep you safe from harm
I'm waiting too
When the time is right I'll be back for you
You've waited patiently, and you still believe in me
I'll be back for you and I won't ever let you go
I'll never let you go
It means so much for me to know
You love me too
That is all I ever want to hear from you
So please don't be scared
If you need me I'll be there
I'll hold you close, I'll keep you near
You'll never cry another tear
I'll hold you hand and you'll hold mine
I'll always be right by your side
And I will never let you go
That's one thing I want you to know
I'll always be by your side
I love you

Update
~I am currently at home after part one of my Christmas vacation. I head back in the direction of Cambridge on Saturday for a few days before Graham heads back to the East Coast...sob
~Apparently I was missed though...not enough to keep me in the classroom...I was still shipped elsewhere...but that is the life of an ECEer
~I went to see Rent over the break...it was pretty good, it made me cry like a baby, but what else is new right
~I was given a "Marriage Prayer" for Christmas by my parents...strangely enough though, I am not getting married...at least not that I know of.
~I cut my leg last week on like Friday and it is still bleeding...that can't be good
~I was sick on New Years...how sucky is that...I think me and Graham should try again
~I am writting this from my new "office area" in my room, I was given a desk and chair.
~Tonight is my last deacon's meeting...I am officially finished at the end of the month...yay for stepping down from church boards!
