Song of the day!

Now a red solo cup is the best receptacleFor barbecues tailgates fairs and festivalsAnd you sir do not have a pair of testiclesIf you prefer drinking from glass
A red solo cup is cheap and disposableAnd in 14 years they are decomposableAnd unlike my home they are not foreclosableFreddie-Mac can kiss my ass woo
Red solo cup I fill you upLets have a party lets have a partyI love you red solo cup I lift you upProceed to party proceed to party
Now I really love how you're easy to stackBut I really hate how you're easy to crackCuz when beer runs down the front of my backWell that my friends is quite yucky
But I have to admit the ladies get smittenAdmiring how sharply my first name is writtenOn you with a sharpie when I get to hittin'on them to help me get lucky[ From: http://www.metrolyrics.com/red-solo-cup-lyrics-toby-keith.html ]
Red solo cup I fill you upLets have a party lets have a partyI love you red solo cup I lift you upProceed to party proceed to party
Now I've seen you in blue and I've seen you in yellowBut only you in red will do for this fellowCuz you are the Abbot to my CostelloAnd you are the fruit to my loom
Red solo cup your more than just plasticYou're more than amazing you're more than fantasticAnd believe me when i'm not the least bit sarcasticwhen i look at you and say:
"Red solo cup, your not just a cup. You're my, you're my friend. (life long) Thank you, for being my friend.
Red solo cup I fill you upLets have a party lets have a partyI love you red solo cup I lift you upProceed to party proceed to party
Repeat chorus 3 times

How Life should be...

Sometimes it feels like this world is spinning faster than it did in the old days. So naturally, we have more natural disasters from the strain of a fast pace. Sunday was a day of rest; now, it’s one more day for progress and we can’t slow down ‘cause more is best. It’s all an endless process!

Well, I miss Mayberry! Sitting on the porch drinking ice-cold cherry coke. Where everything is black and white. Picking on a six string where people pass by and you call them by their first name. Watching the clouds roll by Bye, bye

Sometimes I can hear this old earth shouting through the trees as the wind blows. That’s when I climb up here on this mountain to look through God’s window. Now I can’t fly but I got two feet that get me high up here above the noise and city streets. My worries disappear

Sometimes I dream I’m driving down an old dirt road not even listed on a map I pass a dad and son carrying a fishing pole but I always wake up every time I try to turn back

Bye, bye

Oh wow, it has certainly been a long time since my last post...but do not fear my readers, I am still here...busier than ever, but still here...this is going to be an update as to what has been happening in the past few months since I posted:

~As you all know, I got married back in October, I posted about that, we are living in Cambridge in a little apartment by the river. It is perfect for us...we might not have that much furniture and such, but I had a Christmas tree...so I was estatic.

~An acquaintance of ours died in early December. Her name was Shelly Emmott (Paterson). We knew her from encounter and BCOQ events and through Craig. She was in a car accident on her way to work and died on the scene. She was only 29, recently married (2003). It was heartbreaking. At her funeral there was well over 500 people. I cried a whole lot.

~I work for the YWCA here in Cambridge, we were lucky enough to close for the entire week between Christmas and New Years.

~Christmas was hectic...we went everywhere this year.

-Christmas Eve, we went to Mum and Steve Pinney's...we ate fondue, went to church and hot tubbed...Andrew/Wendy, Ross/Ainsley came the next day where we took a family photo:

-Christmas Day we went to Mom and Daddy West's house for dinner with the whole gang Jen/Rob and Jon/Christine.

-Boxing Day we stopped by Dad and Liz's place for half and hour to drop off a present...we left just as Andrew, Wendy, Ross and Ainsley arrived. From there we had to make an appearance at my Grandma West's place for Christmas dinner, where the entire West Clan was there...we had some fun.

-Then we got to come home...yay!!!

~My sister Jen and her husband Rob announce that they were going to have a baby in August! I am so excited, I am going to be an AUNT!!!

~On December 30th, Graham, Ames and I went to Niagara Falls for the day, we hit the outlet stores, some wax museums and Ripley's before heading down to the falls for fireworks and Christmas lights...I was a little disappointed by the Christmas lights, they were no way as impressive as I was lead to believe...maybe it would have been better if there was some snow...hmm... Then we hit the Hersey Chocolate store before buying me the biggest Coca-Cola we could find.

~New Years Eve was spent just the two of us this year, we watched the ball drop and drank champagne (oh...sparkling wine)

~Now I have been back at work for a few days, back to being tired. Graham is back at school part-time. He is at Mac taking his MDiv. and working full time still! Yikes

~That is a basic outline of my life at the moment...I need to go now and convince my husband to come to Ikea with him.

Peace out!

Three Wooden Crosses...

A farmer and a teacher
A hooker and a preacher
Riding on a midnight bus
Bound for Mexico
One was headed for vacation
One for higher education
And two of them were searchin' for lost souls

That driver never ever saw the stop sign
And 18 wheelers can't stop on a dime

There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there's not four of them heaven only knows
I guess it's not what you take
When you leave this world behind you
It's what you leave behind you when you go

That farmer left a harvest
A home and 80 acres
The faith and love for growing things
In his young son's heart

And that teacher left her wisdom
In the minds of lots of children
Did her best to give 'em all
A better start

And that preacher whispered
"Can't you see the promised land?"
As he lay his blood stained Bible
In that hooker's hand

There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there's not four of them heaven only knows
I guess it's not what you take
When you leave this world behind you
It's what you leave behind you when you go

That's the story that our preacher told last Sunday
As he held that blood stained Bible up
For all of us to see
He said, "Bless the farmer
And the teacher
And the preacher
Who gave this Bible to my momma
Who read it to me"

There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway
Why there's not four of them now I guess we know
It's not what you take
When you leave this world behind you
It's what you leave behind you when you go

There are three wooden crosses on the right side of the highway......

I Got Married

Hi All,

So, I got married two weeks ago! Yep, I sure did. It was an absolutely beautiful day, the weather was warm, the leaves were colourful and most of our friends and families were able to make it out. So I am now officially Mrs. Graham Ware...how cool is that?
